New mountain biking in Scotland website

A new website dedicated to Scotland’s mountain bike trails is calling for more riders to join their “community”.  TrailScotland is the brainchild of off-road riding addict Jonny Smart, who hopes the site will  become the number one UK mountain biking community website.

The TrailScotland website offers a wealth of information about Scotland’s popular mountain biking centres, and groups the trails information according to region, southern, central and northern. There are links to trail centre websites and a list of local bike shops, as well as a forum where riders can share information and chat about their first love.

Like so many people in the UK, Jonny has become a huge fan of mountain biking after trying a few rides at some of Scotland’s best mountain biking centres. As he puts it: “It was a case of addiction at first pedal!”

Jonny says: “I love mountain biking and I decided to share my passion for the sport by creating a website. TrailScotland is a place to find out more about the activity in Scotland and it also encourages new people to take up this exciting sport.  There are tips and advice and lots of photographs on the site and we really want more people to become part of the community by joining the forum.

“I think Scotland is an amazing place to mountain bike and the terrain is so perfectly suited to offering a fantastic range of opportunities for all levels of riders. I really hope that the website gets more people on their bikes and riding further afield.”

Be it dedicated trail riding, downhill or wilderness riding, TrailScotland.co.uk has got it covered.  So far Jonny has gathered information on more than 50 different trails and with lots of trails being submitted by forum members themselves this list is going to keep growing.

Group rides have also been organised via the forum – and there is now Trail Scotland race team made up of registered members that recently took part in the TweedLove’s “Glentress 7” event.
