After a recruitment period, 50 official testers, chosen from various disciplines, will receive a free VIRB Elite camera to film and publish their own videos on the testing programme’s dedicated site.

The testers will also provide feedback on six fundamental criteria for an action camera including image quality, battery life, durability/waterproofing, handling/ease of use, connectivity/additional features and editing software (VIRB Edit).

Garmin believe the feedback is essential for creating great products.

The tester programme is open to anyone and will span several months, making it possible to observe the progression in the quality of the videos produced by the amateur filmmakers.

What is the Garmin VIRB camera?

The camera – like the GoPro – has been designed to appeal to a large audience including all these sports: Skateboarding, BMX, skiing, surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, motorcycling, football, rugby, trekking, trail, paragliding, gliding, sailing, diving and kiting.

To have the opportunity to be chosen for the test programme register at Try Garmin VIRB from April 30, 2014.
