Video: The day I met Bagging Scotland

Written by Fiona July 23 2010

This is what I was up to at Loch Lomond last Friday! Being filmed! To be honest, I imagined I’d hate being on camera – but on the day it was great fun. Bagging Scotland want to get us all out “bagging” castles, Munros, whisky distilleries, really anything we fancy. The goal is to encourage more people to enjoy all the great things that Scotland has to offer. They want us to celebrate what’s here on our doorstep – and to attract more people from outside of Scotland to come to visit our great wee country.

Being a huge fan of Scotland’s outdoors I am only too happy to do my bit to (hopefully) inspire others to get out and about more. I love the bagging Scotland concept and I’ve spent many years “bagging” by bike and on foot. FionaOutdoors doesn’t like to have to get in the car too often! I’ve bagged lots of Munros (walking and running), cycled to castles and distilleries and my new mission is to bag lochs by cycling around them!  Check out this video when I went to meet Bagging Scotland at Loch Lomond.

PS. Gosh, just seen that there has been 105 views of this video in one day! Amazing! Just wish I’d paid attention to doing a little more in the way of make-up. Sadly, the wind and rain on my bike ride to Loch Lomond messed with my hair and my mascara!
