  1. I love it because it reminds me every day that I am not grounded or limited by my disabled childhood or morbidely obese adulthood. I love that it has given me a new life and a hunger for something other than junk food.

I took up running over 10 years ago after my wife said I was getting fat, I said tapping my rotund belly “never mind you’re stuck with me “,im not ! she said .that night I ran 300m and was shattered, 10 years on , I have run many races including ultra marathons, mountain and fell road and trail , I love the mental de stressing that a run gives you and the physical well being, also I’m still married 🙂 and have raised 000’s for charity

i love running because no matter what stresses & strains we have in life we can get out & forget about everything for awhile. as a single mum (with rheumatoid arthritis) to 3 kids, all with very different needs inc bipolar, the est thing i can do to help my kids is to make sure i look after my mental health state so i can be strong for them.
