Nice post! But who wrote it? Would be nice to know so we could trust the recommendations and links. Thanks. Would be better to be transparent..

Read to the bottom of the blog to see: Written by Derin Clark, a writer, editor and blogger

Thanks Fiona. I can see Derin Clark has done other work for Direct Ferries! 🙂

    From the above:

“Written by Derin Clark on behalf of Direct Ferries, a company that provides a ferry booking service for destinations across Europe.”

    And probably works for http://www.affinityi-marketing.com

So when your website links to Direct Ferries, I guess this should not really be read as a recommendation as such as the link is paid for.

I personally think it’s better to be transparent so that your audience know whether to trust the links or not.

    Thanks

Good point and you will see that I have a disclosure page on my site. I may have forgotten to add a link to this page on this blog post but have added it in now. I try to be as transparent as I can be.
