Quadrathlon training update

Written by Fiona May 14 2014

I wrote this article for Scotland Outdoors about my looming fears of the fast approaching Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon. I am becoming pretty anxious about the huge event that we will face in just two months’ time.

Screen Shot 2014-05-14 at 07.51.11To add to my fears I also met a fit guy that I had interviewed for a previous article about the Quad. He came over to talk to me in Pitlochry last weekend after spotting my name emblazoned on the back of my campervan. He reminded me that he completed the entire event in just over eight hours (I can’t comprehend this amazing time) and he went on to give me a few tips about how to go faster.

Sadly, unlike him, we do not live near the Ben Lawers Munros so we can’t recce them as frequently as he did. We’re not hill running fit and we are simply hoping to stay in one piece through all four disciplines. I am still very impressed by his achievement but if we make it to the finish line still standing up I’ll be mighty chuffed.
