Biggest ever UK & Ireland Banff Mountain Film Festival

Now in its sixth edition, the 2015 UK and Ireland Banff Tour promises to be the largest to date with 82 screenings taking place in 55 locations, including 15 new venues, between January 24 and June 6.

And the festival achieves another “biggest” feat when it launches at the Festival Theatre Edinburgh – Scotland’s biggest cinema – on the Saturday.

The annual festival showcases a diverse collection of the best and latest films from the global mountain sports community. The 2.5-hour programme has been selected from more than 370 films, which were entered into the Banff Mountain Film Festival, held in the Canadian Rockies last month.

The popularity of the UK and Ireland leg of the World Tour has grown over recent years and in 2015, it is is expected to bring together more than 45,000 adventure lovers.
