Open water swimming has been fast gaining in popularity in Scotland. Yet there are still many people who would like to try it but are are nervous about getting started. Now Scottish Swimming, as well as other groups, has launched a series of coached open water swimming sessions. These are great for beginners and also for swimmers who would like to improve their open water swimming technique . See my Sunday Mail column of May 24.
