Women cyclists needed for Billie Fleming tribute ride in Scotland

The year-long Billie Fleming Tribute Ride is fast approaching Scotland. I wrote about the event as it reached 100 days. They need women riders to sign up to various stages of the challenge in August. Please take a look and see what you can do.

The towns that Billie cycled through are listed on tributetobillie.co.uk, specifically at riding stages. There are still riders needed for August 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18 and 19.

Why not take a look at the website and pick a stage near you or choose a date in the second half of Billie’s tour when you can ride anywhere in Scotland?

The principles are that there has to be at least one woman riding every day but there is no limit to the number of men, women and children taking part.

You can plan your own route on roads or traffic-free cycle paths. You can ride as far or as little as you want but we encourage you to go further or ride a different route to what you have done before. You should map your ride using Strava or any similar tool so it is properly recorded.
