Cyclefit is the new headline sponsor for London Cross League
I met the guys from Cyclefit, a company that works all kinds of magic on rider’s comfort and performance, while cycling in Switzerland. They impressed me and so I have kept tabs on what they are up to. This week, it is revealed that Cyclefit, based in London and Manchester, will be the main sponsor for the London Cross League, which organises cyclo-cross races in and around London.
The four figure sum sponsorship will run for three years and reinforce Cyclefit’s commitment to the UK’s premium cycling scene.
Cyclo-cross racing takes place on off-road circuits in parks and on farmland over mixed terrain and obstacles. The London Cross League hosts races for all ages, from the under 10s challenges to the Super Veterans race for riders in their 70s. Race times range from ten minutes for kids to one hour for seniors.
I have enjoyed cyclo cross racing in Scotland.
As part of the sponsorship deal, Cyclefit will attend London Cross League races. Experts from the company will offer professional advice to help riders to maximise their performance and prevent injuries, as well as competing in the events.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Julian Wall, co-founder of Cyclefit, said: “We’re delighted to support the London Cross League and grass roots racing. It’s a great way for people to get into competitive cycling. The racing is fun and ideal for improving bike handling skills.”
John Mullineux, of the London Cross League, said: “It’s superb to welcome Cyclefit as our headline sponsor. Like us, they’re big cross fans – and that’s really important to our members. Every year, we want to develop the league and with Cyclefit’s support we can continue to do that. It’s also refreshed my enthusiasm for the coming season.”
