Wrangler team up with Al Humphreys to inspire adventure
American jeans brand Wrangler has joined forces with adventurer Alastair Humphreys. While Wrangler celebrate its outdoor-inspired winter Ready denim collection, Al has helped the company to produce a series of interactive guides for local adventures in and around Edinburgh, Manchester and London.
Wrangler Born Ready enables users to choose from almost 100 adventures close to the city, including challenging hill cycles, forest walks and alfresco swims. Participants simply click on the icons that correspond to the type of adventure they want, to be matched with their ideal exploration. Once the adventure has been chosen, the map will offer top tips from Al on what to bring and what kit to wear.
The aim is to encourage people to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors on their doorstep this winter. Users can also share and upload their own everyday adventures and Wrangler will award prizes to the best adventures throughout autumn and winter.
In the UK, outdoor enthusiasts can take their pick from adventures, including mountain biking in the South Downs, paddling the River Irwell – where they might encounter freshwater fish such as roach, bream, chub, and brown trout – or hiking through the stunning Pentland Hills, southwest of Edinburgh.
The initiative brings to life Wrangler’s Born Ready philosophy. The new Ready collection has been designed to combine style and innovation, providing jeans with warmth in cold conditions and integrating water-resistant and technical outdoor fabrics.
