The Big Garden Birdwatch 2017

The Big Garden Birdwatch 2017 takes place from January 28 to 30. Last year, more than 500,000 people took part with an astonishing eight million birds being recorded. This year, the RSPB hope that the event will attract even more birdwatchers.

It wasn’t always so popular though! What started as a children’s activity in 1979 has grown and grown. Now the RSPB have snapshot of what the nation’s bird climate is like, from nearly 40 years of data.

And it couldn’t be simpler to get involved yourself.  Kennedy Wild Bird Food have created this infographic that explains how you can get involved and everything you’ll need.
