Crystal Ski Holidays have analysed over 900 unique data points to showcase the best ski resorts around the world – and the results can be filtered to search for a holiday to best suit your requirements. The research is based on:

  • 50 ski resort
  • 18 unique metrics and 900 data points
  • Personalised results according to set filters.

Skiers can use an interactive tool to compare the 50 resorts according to a host of filters such as costs of a lift pass, number of bars, slope difficulty ratings, or even the price of a burger or beer.

Whether you’re a family, a couple, a student or are after a budget holiday, the in-depth research allows you to pick your perfect ski resort.

Highlights of ski resort research

Student Savers

Bulgaria is an up and coming spot for students on a budget, with cheap beers and burgers, and plenty of bars in places like Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo.

Family Fun

Travelling with a big group can be costly, but in Andorra you can get lift-passes as cheap as £178 in Arinsal, and children up to the age of 15 get free lift passes.

Thrill seekers

With 53 difficult runs and eight other snow-sports on offer, Vail in Colorado, USA, has been found as the number one resort for adrenaline junkies, with Canada’s Whistler coming in a close second.

Couples’ retreat

A romantic getaway to the slopes isn’t just about the skiing, and with over 20 fine dining options, good value wine and relaxing spas, we’ve highlighted Heavenly in California and Sauze D’Oulx in Italy as the top two spots for couples.

You can use the tool to see the overall ranking of the ultimate ski resort here, where you can also filter depending on what’s most important to you!
