Workout secrets for a better health

Staying healthy is not easy. Keeping your body fit requires a significant amount of effort and dedication. And we all need the motivation to go to the gym, or take part in some form of fitness.

This article focuses on a few tips and tricks to help you stick to your fitness routine and aim for a healthier body and mind. Most of the points have one thing in common, which is, consistency. Master it and getting healthy will be a piece of cake.

Be consistent

On your first day at the gym, you can either turn out to be a hopeful chap or a disgruntled and depressed slob.

Of course, you will meet people who have been going to the gym for a long time and are bound to have a better physique than you. But remember that getting into shape and getting fit require a lengthy process.

You might not see results in a month or two and should not expect to do so. It’s the journey that matters and you should concentrate on that.

Be consistent with your exercises. Be it at home, the gym or the park, make a routine and stick to it. Make sure you’re committed to bringing a change in your life – and fitness will follow suit.

Create an effective routine

In order to achieve long-term fitness, you need to start working on tried-and-tested training regiments.

Here are a few pointers for you to follow:

  • Interval training – Instead of doing a single exercise for a long period of time, studies show that alternating between various ones in short intervals yield better results.
  • Strength Training – Strength training helps you train your muscles to handle bigger and heavier loads, thereby increasing your all-over strength. You might want to stay away from this if you’re a beginner and you’re more likely to come across some injury if you push yourself too hard.
  • Cardio – This is the best exercise you can do for your body. If you’re not into gym equipment and bulky chests and biceps, cardio is a surefire way to secure a healthy and fit body. You can also try Techogym rowers.

Cardio intensive training requires a lot of energy and stamina. Start slowly, maybe with a 10 min jogging session and work your way upwards to more strenuous workouts.

Set achievable goals

Unrealistic goals will exhaust your motivation within a few days. It’s possible to become a better version of yourself by idealising someone who is a pioneer of health and fitness. But believing that you can achieve that in a short period of time is impossible.

Set small milestones, ones that are achievable for someone of your fitness level. Achieve them, cross them off of your checklist and move on to the next one.

Bruce Lee didn’t become a legend overnight. It took precious time and dedication to achieve the physique he had at the prime of his life.
