CBD related products are popping up everywhere at the moment. It seems as if the methods you can get your CBD are multiplying by the day. CBD products now come in all shapes and sizes.

One of the most popular ways to consume CBD is with CBD edibles. Simply put, these are products designed for you to eat, which are infused with CBD oil.

But what exactly is CBD? And what do you need to know about CBD edibles? And what are the different types of CBD edibles? We will be looking at all of this in this article. Read on to find out more.

What is CBD?

CBD stands for Cannabidiol. It is one of the main active ingredients in cannabis. You may have heard of its generally more well-known brother, THC.

There are believed to be more than 400 different components in cannabis, which give the plant its wide range of effects on humans. Research suggests CBD and THC are responsible for most of these effects.

THC is responsible for giving cannabis its psychoactive effects. It creates the feelings of relaxation, happiness and increased hunger that people typically associate with marijuana. Basically, THC is what gets you “stoned”.

CBD has completely different effects, however. Instead of affecting your brain, CBD mainly works on your body. Research shows that CBD increases the amount of naturally occurring endocannabinoids in the body. Importantly, CBD does not give any of the “high” effects people associate with cannabis.

The endocannabinoid system in our bodies affect all sorts of different things and so CBD could potentially be of benefit to a whole host of various problems.

What issues can CBD help?

Research related to cannabis and its ingredients has been held back for a long time due to its legal status. Scientists are only now just beginning to thoroughly test CBD and see the potential benefits it could bring.

The findings so far have been very promising. Here are a few of the issues which CBD could potentially help with:

The list goes on too.

CBD and menopause: CBD is claimed to help with many issues connected to the menopause, much as joint pain, muscle aches, sleep and anxiety

The potential positive impact of CBD is said to be hugely exciting.

Is CBD legal?

CBD is legal in the USA, UK, the majority of Europe and most of the world. To make CBD products on Provacan, you usually use hemp cannabis plants which contain next to no THC.

With no THC content, CBD products don’t get you “high.” As such, most governments allow CBD products to be bought and sold freely.

CBD edibles and snacks

CBD comes in all sorts of different forms. One of the most popular is in edible form called CBD edibles.

To make CBD edibles, you extract CBD from the cannabis plant and turn it into an oil. You then add this oil to whatever you would like to make into a CBD edible, and there you have your edible.

This oil can be taken as it is, but many people don’t like the taste. It is quite bitter and earthy. Edibles are a much tastier way to get your CBD.

The amount of different edibles on the market now is mind-blowing. It used to be you could only get CBD gummy bears, but brands are coming up with ever more inventive and tempting CBD edibles. Here are just a few of the most popular types of CBD edibles:

  • Gummy bears
  • Lozenges
  • Chocolate
  • Honey
  • Bitters
  • Snack bars
  • Protein bites
  • Almonds
  • Fruit chews
  • Granola
  • Smoothies
  • Popcorn.

On top of this, there are also recipes for you to make your own CBD infused food at home including lattes, salads, popsicles and salsa.

Final thoughts on CBD edibles

CBD edibles are also a great way to experiment with CBD for the first time. For example, eating a gummy bear is a lot less alien to most people that CBD oil.

With such a wide range of CBD edible available, there is something to suit every taste.
