UK dates for Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour 2020

The Banff Mountain Film Festival returns to the UK with six dates in Scotland, including a new Aberdeen venue.

The film tour includes a collection of some of the world’s best adventure films, starring intrepid explorers on wild expeditions worldwide.

From slacklining in Mexico to ice skating on the spectacular frozen fjords of Sweden, audiences can expect gripping action, soulful journeys and mind-blowing cinematography.

Banff Mountain Film Festival 2020 Tour

The tour is in UK and Ireland from January 18 to May 26, 2020.

Scottish dates:

  • Jan 18: Festival Theatre, Pitlochry
  • Jan 21: Macrobert Arts Centre, Stirling
  • Jan 22 to 23: Eden Court Theatre, Inverness
  • Jan 24: Music Hall, Aberdeen
  • Jan 25: Festival Theatre, Edinburgh
  • Feb 25: The King’s Theatre, Glasgow.

The tour features two different collections of films. The films are chosen from hundreds of entries into the Banff Mountain Film Festival, which is held every November in the Canadian Rockies.

The UK and Ireland tour starts in Pitlochry, Scotland, on Saturday January 18, and finishes in Norwich on Tuesday May 26. It visits 60 locations along the way.

As well as thrilling films, each event features a free prize draw for outdoorsy goodies from the tour partners.
