First, you should know a little bit about the history of how people learned to fall asleep in any environment. During World War II, there was a rapid increase in military plane crashes, which was finally tracked down to sleep deprivation.

Start at the top of your body and focus on relaxing each part. Work through your facial muscles and move down to your shoulders and hands. Keep going until you have relaxed all the way to the tips of your toes.
Next find ways to relax your mind. This is crucial to be able to fall asleep quickly.
