Review: A Line in the Sky mountain prints
Sometimes, simple can be striking – and Becca Rankine’s A Line In The Sky prints certainly achieve this. The artworks a simple outlines of many famous mountains and walking or running routes.
For example, the collection of 36 pictures of Scottish mountains include The Ochils, Glen Coe, The Cuillin, The Cobbler, Arthur’s Seat, the Ring of Steall and Ben Nevis.
There are also prints of the outlines of Welsh mountain, Irish mountains, English mountains, and international mountains.
In another collection are world-wide routes/races, for example the Tour du Mont Blanc, the Haute Route and the GR 20, as well as the iconic Scottish walking trail of the West Highland Way.
The prints can be purchased as A5, A4 or A3 size.
I chose the Munro bagging print, a Cuillin print and the North Coast 500 to be sent to me for a review.
The quality is great and they are printed with high quality ink to prevent fading and on to thick 300gsm paper. I plan to frame them in simple black frames to match each other.
The prints would be ideal as gifts for a wedding or birthday, or you could buy a selection of different prints to mark the walking of some of your favourite mountains or route. I can see these being popular with members of my Munroaming group.
The prices are very reasonable (note they are from £14.95 without frames). See A Line in the Sky.
