Outdoor weddings remain a popular choice among UK couples. A recent study by Premier Pollytunnels found that 56% of engaged couples rate a garden setting as their top choice of wedding venue.
With so many couples wanting to get married outdoors it is a good thing that the UK is home to so many gorgeous outdoor venues to choose from. From a beautiful roof-top garden venue to a quaint country house in the heart of Cornwall, let’s have a closer look at just three of many beautiful venues worth considering.
The Garden of Eden is a dreamy venue
Although the UK countryside is known for its exquisite venues, it is possible to have a magical outdoor wedding ceremony in a city. The rooftop of the renowned Shankly Hotel in Liverpool is home to one such venue – The Garden of Eden.
The venue is housed in a glass box, which provides guests with breath-taking views of the city. The Garden of Eden also sports a spectacular outdoor terrace which is perfect for a dreamy outdoor celebration.
In-house wedding planners will ensure that all the finer details of the ceremony, including the catering, entertainment, such as Fraudio’s wedding band, flowers and wedding cake is taken care of while the wedding party and guests can indulge in the luxury accommodations offered by the hotel.
It’s hard to compete with a castle
If you want a fairytale wedding why not get married in a castle? Myres Castle was built in 1530 and can be found in the Kingdom of Fife in Scotland.
The castle, which won the 2018UK Heritage Award for “Best Wedding Venue”, features a spectacular walled garden, a tiny lochan, a maze and myriad roses and grazing Highland cows.
Couples can choose to say “I do” outside in the Vatican Garden, on the sweeping front lawn that overlooks the castle, or under the branch umbrella of the historical copper beech tree.
The castle is also able to accommodate up to 30 guests for an intimate, indoor wedding and up to 150 in the fully-equipped and brand-new “barnquee” that can be found in the woodland garden.
Treseren Country House is a real treat
No list of outdoor wedding venues would be complete without Cornwall representation. Micro weddings have been all the rage for quite some time with the Treseren Country House in Cornwall being the perfect venue for such an intimate yet stylish affair.
The exclusive-use venue is unapologetically British and sports expansive green lawns and carpets of vibrant flowers.
As far as accommodation is concerned, Treseren can comfortably accommodate as many as 22 guests in six rooms.
One of the many things that set Treseren apart from other wedding venues in the region is the fact that it is completely pet friendly, which means that a couple’s beloved canine companions can be part of their special day.
Outdoor weddings continue to rise in popularity among UK couples. With so many gorgeous venues to choose from, the trend is bound to be around for many years to come.
