Sunday Mail: Foraging for wild food in Scotland

Written by Fiona May 05 2014

If you follow me on Facebook and Twitter you’ll know that I recently spent a day in Galloway in Southern Scotland finding out about wild food foraging. This is something I’ve been keen to do for a while and the trip proved to be an amazing outing.

The adventure was led by the UK’s only full-time foraging tutor Mark Williams, of Galloway Wild Foods, who is a walking encyclopedia of wild food information.

My lovely friend and blogger Ellen Arnison came with me and we were joined by my old school pal and photographer Mike Bolam. I had no idea there were so many wild foods to be picked and eaten in Scotland, and so many that look like ordinary weeds.

Here’s my article that appeared in the Sunday Mail. Click on the links Left page and Right page to see the full article.
