I have worked with Scot Mountain Holidays, doing writing projects for them. It’s a lovely company to work for. So it is great to hear that Fraoch Lodge, which is home to Scot Mountain Holidays, has been awarded the Taste Our Best award from VisitScotland.

This is a timely award since 2015 will be the Year of Food and Drink for Scotland.

Rebecca Field, who runs Scot Mountain Holidays and Fraoch Lodge with her husband Andy Bateman, said: “We are very proud of the quality and copious variety of Scottish produce that we are able to incorporate into the menus that we offer to our guests.

“We serve meals to guests as part of our Scot Mountain Holidays and also to people who stay at the lodge and choose to join us for their meals.

“We are delighted to have been awarded a Taste our Best Award by VisitScotland.”

Scot Mountain Holidays also offers a Mountains and Malts holiday, which makes the most of Scotland’s most famous food and drink export.

Rebecca said: “We like to introduce guests to the wide variety of produce, which is influenced by the whisky industry, including our local smoked salmon, several varieties of Scottish cheese and marmalade, amongst other things.”
