A new fitness craze, the Highland Hustle, is coming to Glasgow in December – and the event is set to raise funds for children’s charity, Cash For Kids.

The fun-style exercise class is billed as Scotland’s answer to zumba and combines Scottish Highland dancing steps and moves with high-beat music.

On December 5, 2015, at 11am, the special charity fundraiser Highland Hustle event takes place at Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Wellshot Road, Glasgow. Everyone is invited to go along and join the session, while also raising money for Cash for Kids.

Highland Hustle founder, Gillian Urquhart, from Perthshire, will lead the Glasgow class. She says: “The Highland Hustle class builds gradually so you can find a pace that is right for you. You can choose low impact or go for it with high intensity. It’s up to you.

“Highland Hustle is great for cardio exercise and burns fat. There are also exercises for toning your wobbly bits as well so it’s an all-round exercise class  with great results. It’s unique, fun and, more to the point, it works.”

The Glasgow event is free to attend and participants will be asked to donate to  Cash For Kids if they enjoy the class. The Scottish charity helps vulnerable, disadvantaged or disabled children to live life to the full and realise their individual potential.
