America has so much to offer travellers including cities, forests, deserts, mountains and icy planes of snow. Thousands of people travel to America every year to explore its natural and man-made wonders, but where is the best place for people looking for adventure? America has many great locations for thrill-seekers, with Alaska  being arguably one of the finest.

Like everything else in the US, Alaska is huge and the average traveller would need a great deal of time to explore it completely. However, the state has its fair share of highlights that are a must for anyone planning to visit.

The national parks alone offer a haven of exploration and adventure, and there are plenty of travel packages from companies like Trek America Travel Limited available to take today. Here are some the best national parks to explore when visiting Alaska.

Denali National Park

For the chance to see incredible Alaskan wildlife head to the Denali National Park. The park is home to some of America’s largest mammals and adventurers can look for bears, moose, bison, caribou and wolves. The miles and miles of shoreline also mean that travellers can take out a boat and go whale-watching.

The park is also home to one of the continent’s highest peaks, glaciers, tundra and more.

Wrangell-St Elias National Park and Preserve

The Wrangell-St Elias park is larger than the states of Vermont and New Hampshire combined and is ideal for people looking for a real experience in backcountry travel.

The park has some maintained routes, but adventurers might enjoy the more primitive routes that take you through the unimaginably vast wilderness. Because of the park’s size, it is divided into four sections to help you navigate the area and plan your journey so you can get the most out of your trip.

Kenaj Fjords National Park

You can take a hike to see the famous Exit glacier, cruise through Resurrection Bay, or enjoy the many opportunities for walking and boating. It’s also home to the Harding Icefield, one of the largest in America.

Alaska is jam-packed with breath taking natural sights and opportunities for adventure, and its array of national parks has more than enough to keep the adrenaline seekers out there happy.
