Most fishers know the best places for a local trip but what about a fishing holiday? There are some fantastic locations around the world for you to enjoy catching fish.
Bahamas
The Bahamas are great for those who have got more fishing experience. This is because the waters surrounding the islands are home to very large fish such as, Marlin, tuna, mahi-mahi and sailfish. In order to catch fish of this size you are going to need a very strong fishing rod from Total Fishing Tackle. If you do not have a sturdy rod, then catching fish such as these could prove to be quite challenging.
The Abacos islands are particularly good when your aim is the catch the “big one”. There are a number of tournaments throughout the summer to participate in so be sure to head over and take on some of the world’s best fishermen.

Costa Rica
The rich coastlines offer some of the best sport fishing worldwide. Costa Rica is lucky enough to have two beautiful coast lines in the Pacific coast and Caribbean coast, therefore you are spoilt for choice when it comes to what coast to fish on.
While the Pacific side offers you to opportunity to catch dorado, tuna, wahoo, marlin, roosterfish, snapper and many more, the Caribbean side is notorious for its big tarpon and big snook.

Mexico
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico, is our next location of preference. It has been nicknamed the Marine Capital of the World due to the fishing season being all year round. The area has a strict catch and release policy which is implemented to help boost the population of marlin. The peak times to visit are between May and December.
Sicily
If you are looking to stay within Europe for your fishing trip then Sicily is the place for you. Located at the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily is well situated to offer some of the best fishing experiences. The sea surrounding Sicily is well populated with fishing villages with swordfish and tuna being the most common catches.
The country is also well-known for its spear-fishing. If you are a first timer at spear-fishing, don’t expect to catch much, however, after much practice, your luck should increase so it’s worth a go.
