If you are planning for a wonderful vacation with your best friends, there are several things that you must take care of if you want a perfect weekend trip. If you are new to travelling and this is the first time you are going out with your best friend, consider taking less luggage. Too many travelling bags will make your journey tiring. So, when it is only a weekend holiday less is always great.

Here are more tips for packing for a trip with friends.

Take fewer clothes

As we stated earlier, take less luggage. This means you should not pack lots of clothes for a weekend trip. A great tip is to lay out all the things you think you might need, walk away, have a coffee, then return and try to halve what you have laid out.

Make sure you think about packing clothing according to the climate of the place you are visiting. If it is a beach destination, take more beachwear than formal dresses. But if it is a colder region, you should pack a few substantial winter items. A woollen hat, gloves and a jacket are necessary but you do not need tow of each.

You could choose to wear the heavier and bulkier items so that they do no take up space in your luggage.

Packing cubes are useful.

Pack smarter

Using packing bags, or simply plastic bags, allows you to remove as much air from your packing as possible. If you prefer not to go to this trouble, it has been shown that rolling your clothes before packing them is more efficient in terms of space than packing them flat or crumpled.

Only essential toiletries

There are some items you will not want to travel without, such as important toiletries. Take a toothpaste and toothpaste, moisteriser and hair brush. Don’t worry about shampoo and soap if you are staying at  guest house or hotel, because most will provide these. You might need hair conditioner if you use that. Take the small travel-size products to save on space and weight.

Sun screen is an essential if you are travelling to a sunny country.

Makeup basics

For some people, it’s impossible to travel without a few make up basics. Again, choose smaller items and remember that if you are taking only hand luggage the products must be carried through security in a clear plastic bag.

Essential documents

No matter wherever you go, pack all the necessary documents in a separate bag and keep it with you at all times. This is the most important part of your packing. You’ll need your passport if you are travelling overseas, or a form of ID. Flight tickets and travel insurance documents are also important. These days you can save many documents to your smartphone, which will save weight and bulk in your luggage.

Take cash and a card

It is generally considered unsafe to carry too much cash with you, but keep some with you for an emergency. Also, make sure that you keep your cash inside the safety locker of your hotel room. Carry cards with you and try to make payment in either debit or credit cards. But before anything research on the currency value and how to exchange currency if you are going to a different country.

These helpful tips should guide you in the best possible way to enjoy your trip.
