The Cairngorms are calling is a new mountain biking video by Chris McClean. Filmed in November 2018, the short video was created to support the partners of the Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland Conference held in Aviemore.

The film reveals the amazing terrain of the Cairngorms for cycling adventures, whatever the weather. Witness the stunning locations and a spectacular overnight stay at National Trust for Scotland’s Mar Lodge.

And with no roads transecting the Cairngorms National Park, bikes provide a perfect mode of transport for exploring a network of ancient paths and tracks.

Video: The Cairngorms are Calling

The darkness is creeping upon us like smoke in the air, but still I ride uphill into a soft falling snow.

A line of friend’s lights lead my path into the greyness. The Cairngorms were calling and I guess this is their answer.

Why do the mountains call us?  The answer is different for all of us.

The film is a story is about embracing the storms and battling the elements to follow a trail that winds deeper.
