There’s nothing better than embarking on a road trip in your campervan. You are completely self-sufficient, travelling to different places and exploring remote locations. Some people do find the journeys long, however, and the entertainment options can be somewhat limited. In addition, some people suffer from travel sickness, so anything that requires concentration is not always the best idea.
There are still plenty of different ways to keep yourself occupied while travelling:

Listen to a Podcast
Podcasts are easy listening for the road. They are thoroughly entertaining and don’t require much mental energy. What’s more, there are thousands of podcasts to choose from and download on to your phone. You could listen to true crime, learn some random facts, or tune into a conversation that film reviewers are having. Whatever your taste, there will most certainly be a podcast out there for you.
Listen to an Audiobook
Have you considered listening to an audiobook? Anyone who suffers from travel sickness knows that reading in the car is a big no-no. Concentrating on the pages while rocking back and forth is enough to make anyone feel queasy.
But consuming a book, whether fiction or non-fiction, by listening is an excellent way to pass the time . The same level of concentration isn’t required, meaning you shouldn’t suffer from motion sickness but can still become engrossed within a novel.
Some people love to lose themselves in fiction, whilst others are drawn to autobiographies or biographies. It is understandable, celebrities lives can be quite enticing, which can leave you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next bombshell to drop, making the hours pass quite fast. If this is your thing, you don’t have to stop at listening to their audiobook to be entertained, you could actually ‘speak’ to them.
By speak, what I mean is that you can use character AI to chat with your favourite celebrities and basically have a fun conversation with them like they were right there. From ai jenna ortega to AI Brad Pitt, you don’t have to settle for listening to the words, you can be part of it! What an entertaining way to pass the time on a road trip.

Playing Video Games
If you have your mobile phone or a portable console, then you can pass the time while travelling by playing some video games. This is a relatively light form of entertainment that most people can enjoy without becoming travel sick. We do still recommend taking breaks every so often, though. Some brilliant travel games include Tetris, Unibet slots and virtual Monopoly. Anything too intensive might give you a headache, so be mindful of this!
Creating Music Playlists
On road trips, it’s a lot of fun to put on some music and just allow your mind to wander. So, why don’t you create some playlists to listen to whilst you travel? This is a great way to pass the time and you can discover some amazing tunes along the way. What’s more, music is heavily tied to memory. In the future, you can listen back to your playlist and remember the good times you had on the road.
Games with Passengers
Getting everyone involved in a road trip game can also be a great form of entertainment. For example, you could play bingo with different colour cars or the classic, I Spy with my Little Eye. Alternatively, you could spend some time creating your very own road game. Whatever you all most enjoy together is best.
These are some great ways to keep yourself entertained whilst travelling on the road. The journey might be long, but it doesn’t have to be boring.
