What is SOLO?
Jenny is a #TeamMontane athlete, adventure traveller and endurance challenger. She specialises in fast and light expeditions and has vast experiences on all continents in running, trekking, cycling, skiing, paddling, and sailing.
‘SOLO’ is a film made by Summit Fever Media Films and presented by Montane, which chronicles Jenny’s challenges of running across mountain ranges in some of the most remote and off-the-beaten track landscapes on six continents as a solo, unsupported runner.
The film follows her five-year story across the Tien Shan (Asia), the High Atlas (Africa), the Bolivian Andes (South America), the Southern Alps (Oceania), the Canadian Rockies (North America) and the Transylvanian Alps (Europe), as she learns lessons in resilience, self-esteem, bravery and more.
Jenny says: “I’m very excited to take ‘Solo’ on tour and to share the project that has taken many years to complete.
“Going on a solo adventure adds so many layers of challenges to an expedition that I think brings integrity to the pursuit. It is great to be able to share this launch as part of #TeamMontane and help to inspire people to get out there and take on their next challenge. ”
The Solo tour
Each evening will offer the opportunity for the audiences to watch Jenny’s documentary live for the first time and to engage with her through a Q&A. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to win new season Montane kit.
Matthew Hickman, of Montane, said: “Jenny is sharing a truly inspiring story. She encourages everyone to go out and explore and to meet new people, visit new places and ultimately, to push our own limits.
“We are really proud to have athletes and adventurers like Jenny on board with us at Montane, who show us that setting out to do things solo, whether the ambitious or the everyday, can be a truly empowering and liberating experience.”
