Mountains on Stage films

Nuptse
A grandiose film that traces the unfailing commitment of four climbers, Hélias Millerioux, Benjamin Guigonnet, Frédéric Degoulet and Robin Revest, to reach the summit of Nuptse, a 7861m Himalayan mountain. During three years the “moustache gang” attempts a new route up the South face of the mountain.

The extreme climb in alpine-style challenges their will and their limits. The expedition was awarded a Piolet d’Or and it is described as being “brilliantly captured” by director Hugo Clouzeau thanks to images that transport viewers into the heart of the face.

Via Sedna
Sailing to Greenland to open up a route on a face more than 1000m high is the dream that climber Caro North and skier Marta Guemes have set out to realise with an all-female expedition. After two years of preparation, a team of eight women, skippers and climbers, is ready to set sail. They depart from La Rochelle, France, to reach the turbulent Arctic Sea. The journey to reach the location of the new route is as eventful as the climb itself.

The Silent Escape
Polish skier Bartek Ziemski has a monumental goal: To ski two mythical peaks more 8000m high. He aims to do Annapurna and Dhaulagiri back to back.

The film reveals an incredible feat in the history of extreme skiing, since Ziemski wanted to ski the peaks without oxygen and without the help of sherpas, but also to descend to base camp without taking off his skis. The film is described as both terrifying and captivating.

Rise
Humility is an essential quality for discovering the high mountains. This is what skier Juliette Willmann tells us. After years of alpine skiing and freeride competitions, she is looking for new skills to tackle the legendary descents of the Chamonix valley, from the north face of Les Miages to the Couturier couloir on Aiguille Verte. Viewers of the film will witness a gifted skier.
