A great event called the Highlander Mountain Marathon takes place for the third time this April. It offers the perfect start-of-season challenge for all kinds of adventurers and because the mountain marathon is divided into five different classes it is open to a wide range of potential participants.

The Highlander fills something of a gap in the market for two-day mountain marathons in Scotland and is run by a highly experienced and imaginative team called Hands On Events.

If you have never before taken part in a mountain marathon then you have no idea what fun you are missing.
