Get yourself a goal Part II

The Durty Triathlon takes place in the Scottish Borders

Thanks to Twitter pal  @CFrame for his fab list of sporty events. I like the look of the Durty Triathlon, the Tinto Hill running race and Cairngorm Adventure Triathlon.

And thanks, too, to another Tweeper pal @fitscot for his suggestion for a new cycle sportive The Kinross Sportive. It takes place on April 23, 2011, and there will be a choice of three routes.

* The short 45 mile Blue route is a good introduction to Sportives with two significant hills to climb.

* The classic 73 mile Red route has lots of flat sections to encourage faster riding.

*The 87 mile Black route has more than 5,500 ft of climbing and will be  a challenge for any rider, especially so early in the year.

All routes start and finish at the Loch Leven Community Campus in Kinross and follow a common route across the Lomond hills and through the historic town of Falkland before the routes split at Aberargie.

Which event will you be choosing as your goals for winter-motivation?
