Written by Fiona July 18 2011

Oh go on… you know you’d love to take part in a series of four different running events that take place over just five days. The unique Tour of Clydeside Series of races include a trail race, a canal bank race, a multi terrain race and a 10k road race that will be held in and around Glasgow all between August 3 and 7.

The evening events, held by Dunbartonshire and Renfrewshire Amateur Athletic Associations, feature:

* A 5.5-mile trail race in Kilbarchan on Monday August 3

* A 4.8-mile race along the Forth and Clyde Canal in Clydebank on Tuesday August 4

* A 5k multi-terrain Garscube Gallop in Dawsholm Park, Glasgow, on Thursday August 6

* A 10k road race in Pollok Park, Glasgow, on Friday August 7.

* Wednesday is a rest day!

There are prizes up for grabs, too. Runners compete in a range of age groups, including  1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female, 1st MV40, 1st MV 50, 1st MV60, 1st FV35 and 1st FV45.  Pre-entry fee is £10 for members of Scottish Athletics (£12 for others).
