Cornwall is a hotspot for outdoor active holidays. here are a few ideas to whet your appetite.

Walking: Take a stroll along the beach or enjoy a bracing hike along clifftops. One of the best places to walk in Cornwall is the South West Coastal Path. The waymarked route has lots of different sections to walk.

Cycling: Check out the many cycling routes in the county from quiet country roads to off-road trails.

Surfing: One of the most popular sports in Cornwall, there are surfing and body boarding locations for all abilities. Take a few lessons, such as at Reef Surf School in Newquay.

Sea kayaking: Another popular sport, sea kayaking is a great way to get up close to wildlife. Try Cornish Coast Adventures.

Kite riding: A kite can be utilised to bring power to your sports. Try kite surfing, kite buggying or wave skiing with The Extreme Academy

Seafari: Kids will love the chance to spot wildlife on a coastal boat trip. There are snorkelling trips and even the chance to swim with basking sharks. See Newquay Sea Safaris
