Kit review: Audaca moisturiser for outdoors guys

Written by Fiona May 21 2013

The G-Force has been testing Audaca, a range of skincare products for adventurers, specifically men. Formulated and manufactured in the UK, these products use essential oils and natural ingredients from across the world. The aim is for “natural ingredients to create high performance male products”.

Audaca Hydrate

Audaca is also committed to using to sustainably sourced ingredients and recyclable packaging, which has seen the company achieve the Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Company Accreditation.

Moisteriser and face wash for men

The G-Force has tested a moisturiser called Audaca Hydrate, which is a “fusion of essential oils, Vitamin E and Jojoba’ that aims to “help counter the effects of weathering on the skin”. And Audaca Wash, which is an “invigorating shower and face wash with a combination of citrus and smoky aromas to fire up the senses and shake off morning drowsiness”.

All these promises the G-Force reckons he needs! He’s an outdoorsy guy both in his work and hobbies. His skin needs lots of moisturising and he always needs to be woken up on early morning rises, weather to meet colleagues or for climbing and walking trips. His usual moisturiser and face wash is bought from the supermarkets but he has never been that impressed by these products calling them “too thick, gunky, greasy and with a yucky smell”.

Auduca moisturiser and wash on test

The G-Force genuinely likes the Audaca products. He told me: “The Auduca Hydrate is the least greasy moisturiser I have ever had. It is light and absorbs really easily but still feels as though it’s giving great moisturising. If you see my face after a day of work or on the hills it really does need moisturising and this moisturiser quickly sorts it out. I have been using morning and evening for best effects. I know that, as a guy, I shouldn’t really admit this, but I also like the smell. It’s light and refreshing and kind of outdoorsy fresh.”

The Audaca Wash has also impressed the G-Force. He said: “It goes on easily and washes off easily, too. Quite unlike soap. I like the feel of it and the after affects are fresh and clean. It feels like the right thing to t do to put the moisturiser on next.”

I have, of course, been keeping a close eye on the G-Force’s face and skin and I reckon it looks much brighter and softer. He also smells nice and clean after using both products.

The price is good. £14 for Hydrate and £8 for the Wash is competitively priced, even against the supermarket own brands. Other Audaca products include Scrub, Shave and Soothe. They all do what they state in the label title!

There is free delivery on orders of more than £20 at Audaca
