Sunday Mail: Camera stalking

It’s the rutting season for red deer in Scotland and all across the hills and glens you can hear the eerie roaring and groaning as the stags try to court their hind. If you get close enough you may even witness the stags clashing antlers with other stags as their fight off their rivals.

But seeing red deer close up is not easy, unless you have had a lot of practice. This is where a camera stalking trip with a professional deer stalker comes into its own. Whether it’s the rutting season, or outwith these months, camera stalking takes ordinary people close to red deer and within easy photo taking distance.
