PackTowl

Have you come across the towels that feel so lightweight and flimsy that you imagine they would be utterly useless for drying you after a bath or shower, yet when you do use them they are amazingly efficient at getting rid of water?

These towels are made of a lightweight microfibre and offer amazing absorbency. They also dry out very quickly after use. They are like magic towels!

There are several brands that produce these lightweight and highly absorbent towels and one of them is PackTowl®.

While the company has been around for a while they have now updated their range of personal sports PackTowls with four fresh colours, including Indigo, Raspberry, Citrus and Eclipse.

More about the sports PackTowls

The PackTowl is very soft and smooth feeling against the skin. The towel will apparently absorb four times its weight in water yet wrings dry in a few seconds.

The towels have been given an antimicrobial treatment to reduces odour retention and increase the life of the towel

The range is from very small to bath towel sizes, yet all of them pack down very small and are amazingly lightweight.

On test: Sports PackTowls

I have been testing the larger of the “towls” for a variety of uses. I took the towel with me on a camping trip. It packs into a small space and dries really quickly after use.

But the best thing is how quickly and efficiently it dries my skin after a shower. Just one “wipe” over the skin and I was dry. The fabric is very good at absorbing water.

The towel is soft although it doesn’t feel like a big cosy home-style towel. It is not the sort of thing that you would wrap luxuriously around you. It’s more of a practical item for times when you need to get dry and with no fuss.

I have also used it for spin classes when sweat is usually free-flowing. It dries sweat from the skin with great ease.

I like the colour range of the sports PackTowl® Personal line although I am not sure I really need all four sizes. The set of four comes with a handy stowing bag.

The PackTowls are very light and very absorbent and are ideal for a backpacking or wild camping trip, as well as for use at the gym.

You can buy the PackTowls for RRP £10 to £30.
