Give running cyclist Gavin a little of your time

I remember writing about this lad, Gavin Drysdale, and his running bike. He talked about his delight and the sense of freedom that he gets from being able to run with his bike. He can’t run unassisted. Now Gavin Drysdale is helping with an NHS campaign to raise awareness of ACC (augmentative and alternative communication).

Watch the video, which is part of the Now Hear Me  campaign, in which Gavin describes how important  AAC is to him and what other people can do to help.

Another video has been created with the help of Rachel Monk:

The NHS has asked bloggers to help with their campaign, too, to spread the message about  how AAC can help people to get on with their lives. All they ask of others is – sometimes – just a little bit of patience when talking to them or dealing with them.
