Norwegian Outdoors clothing brand Helly Hansen is giving away a trip to Bergen – one of the world’s rainiest cities – as they launch a #WeLoveRain initiative.
The highly time-sensitive (just look out of the window!) campaign calls on outdoors fans to upload images to Instagram of themselves enjoying the great outdoors in the rain.
Whoever posts the winning photo will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Bergen that will include a tour of the city, as well as the Norwegian Vestlandet, 22,592 square miles of fjords, mountain scenery and ice fields.
A spokesperson says: “Helly Hansen loves rain. It’s a part of everyday life in Norway and for more than a century, our brand has excitedly pursued outdoor adventures regardless of the weather.
“Now Helly Hansen is inviting Instagram users to upload a photograph of themselves outside in the rain, with the hashtags #HellyHansen and #WeLoveRain for the chance to win an all-inclusive trip to Bergen.”
Located on Norway’s western coastline, Bergen annually receives 89 inches of rain, which is nearly four times the amount of London’s annual rainfall.
The#WeLoveRain campaign also sees the launch of Helly Hansen’s spring/summer 2015 rainwear collection, which has been “inspired by its nautical roots and driven by progressive Scandinavian design”. Each jacket is created to give you confidence of staying warm and dry, regardless of the weather or the occasion.
