Wild swimming with seals

Sometimes I am sent an email that stops me in my work day and makes me sit back to think about how lucky we are to live in Scotland with the freedom to play amid a stunning landscape. In a short film by Maia Krall Fry, wild swimmer Gill describes her love of swimming off the Isle of Skye and her connection with nature.

The film is the first in a new WILDER series, which profiles people with a strong interaction to Earth. Maia, 22, says: “The aim of the films is to  inspire viewers to explore their local environment and to rediscover a wilder life.”
Maia Krall Fry is an award-winning filmmaker with previous credits including the feature film ‘Ebony Road‘, and short films distributed by Film 4, the Guardian and the BBC.

The poetic Swimming with Seals film reveals an introduction to wild swimming and the sensations and emotions of this sunset swim filmed in May.
