Why quality content and expertise matters on-line

I am delighted to have come across Google’s latest Search Quality Evaluator Guidelines. They have been created to help their site evaluators make sense of their complex page ranking system.

While few people can truly understand Google’s complex page rank algorithms, one of the main points is the need for expert writers.

Now, more than ever, Google favours content written by experts and rewards those pages by giving them a higher value. This means they will ultimately feature higher up in an on-line search.

Google has created a new E-A-T rule: Expertise, Authority and Trustworthiness. These values are used to judge the highest quality pages and websites.

I have been saying this for years, that the best website and blogs are written by experts in their field. And that expert, well-written and non-spammy content is the key to gaining good rankings on the search engines.

On-line writing, blogging and ghost blogging is what I do for a living and if you want your websites and blogs to score well for SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) it pays to hire an expert to do it for you.
