Winter & summer: Ben Cruachan and Stob Diamh

Written by Fiona

June 20 2016

I walked two Munros, Ben Cruachan and Stob Diamh, at the end of February when a thick blanket of snow covered the mountains above the dam level. This weekend, just three and a half months later, I walked-ran them again.

On both outings I was lucky to have a blue sky and clear weather. However, I hardly recognised the mountains on the second trip. The outing felt fresh and very different.

I enjoyed both walks very much. On Saturday, my time for finishing was around half that of the first hike. The G-Force’s new passion for hike-running Munros means we are cutting hours off the day’s outing!

Read the full report from February on Ben Cruachan and Stob Diamh. On Saturday I walk-ran the same route with the G-Force and our friend Nick.
