The athletics track used in the London Olympics 2012 has been removed and pieces are now for sale as souvenirs.
One of the first people to be given a piece is Paralympic, World and European champion wheelchair racer Hannah Cockroft. It represents a poignant memento of the place where she claimed double gold (T34 100m and 200m ) four years ago.
She was also given a a large, decorative framed piece of the track to gift to her local athletics club, Leeds City AC.
The London 2012 track is being replaced ahead of the London 2017 IAAF World Championships and World Para-Athletics Championships next summer.

A very limited number of premium sections are available, including numbers from both the start and finishing lines, for collectors or sports fans who want a unique and extra special piece of history from 2012.
Proceeds from the sale of the track will go back into maintaining and operating the London Marathon Community Track and the London Stadium. The Stadium is a publicly owned asset and all the profits it generates are returned to the taxpayer.
