Mollie Hughes, a 26-year-old British climber, has set off in a bid to become the youngest Briton, the youngest European woman and the first English woman to summit Everest from both north and south sides.

Mollie, who is anOsprey Ambassador and is based in Edinburgh, was successful in her first ascent of Everest in 2012 and hopes her second expedition will inspire young women to realise that challenges can be overcome and dreams achieved.

I wrote about Mollie.

Over the past two years, Mollie has undertaken intense preparation and training, including in Scottish mountains.

After leaving the UK for Tibet, Mollie will begin acclimatisation and preparation at base camp. She willbe using the Osprey Variant 52 on her second attempt of Everest.

She aim to summit Everest towards the end of next month.
