Scotland welcomes the Salomon Sunset Series to the capital city of Edinburgh on Saturday June 3. The 10k evening trail run takes place in Holyrood Park and on Arthur’s Seat as the sun goes down.

The Salomon Sunset Series includes several events across the UK and aims to reconnect runners with the sights, sounds and smells of nature – and to introduce new runners to the fun of the trails.

The event village opens at 4.30pm in Holyrood Park and the 10k run will start as the sun sets at 8.30pm.

Visitors can enjoy workshops and talks from experts, including Scotland’s Donnie Campbell, view the latest trail running kit, watch running videos, join the Salomon community and learn how to find local trails.

Why run at sunset?

A spokesperson for the series said: “Removing the traffic, city noises and crowds and replacing them with beautiful scenery, sounds of nature and a beautiful sunset view provides an entirely different running experience. We hope as many people as possible will join us in Edinburgh in June at the Salomon Sunset Series.”
