Peli UK launches Emergency Service Heroes 2018 campaign

Outdoors safety brand Peli UK has launched an Emergency Service Heroes 2018 campaign. The aim of the initiative is to say thanks to the emergency service teams for the incredible work they do, day in, day out.

The Emergency Service Heroes 2018 campaign calls for people to nominate an emergency service team before May 31, 2018. From the initial nominees, a shortlist will be compiled and then visitors to the Peli Products website can vote for the team they would like to see win the award.

There is £2,000 up for grabs for the winning team to spend on Peli UK Products.

Who will I nominate?

It is not easy to choose one team over another because I walk and travel far and wide in Scotland’s great outdoors and therefore I might need to call on any of the teams at any time.

I always aim to avoid getting into tricky or risky situations and I am experienced enough to cope in the mountains in all weathers. However, accidents and errors do happen and so I am very grateful that the Mountain Rescue teams are there in case of an emergency.

I personally know a lot of people in the Lomond MRT and also Kintail MRT so I might well nominate them. I was also rescued some years ago from an avalanche-prone Munro near Crianlarich by a Mountain Rescue Team. So maybe they will get my vote.

In any case, I will be nominating and voting for a team in this campaign. I hope you’ll do so, too.

Peli Products provide intrinsically safe ATEX torches that are used by the emergency services, as well as the military and offshore workers, too.
