Spotting the Comfyballs stand at the Skyline Scotland event in Kinlochleven recently, I confess I giggled to myself like a schoolchild. Who wouldn’t?! In fact, I was so entertained I went to have a chat with the Garry, who was manning the stand. I forgot to ask if he was wearing his Comfyballs, but I am assuming he was.
Instead, I blurted out: “What about the women? Do you have any ComfyFannies for them?”
They do! But they are not called ComfyFannies (although I think they should be). They are called Comfyballs for women, which is all a bit odd given our lack of.
Anyway, I was sent away to test a pair of women’s Performance Comfyballs.
A bit about Comfyballs
The original Comfyballs are for men and incorporate a “PackageFront”, which is apparently an innovative use of elastic fabric seams, designed for ultimate comfort by reducing heat transfer and restricting movement.
In addition, Comfyballs boxer trunks are tailored using flat-lock seams and soft “oeko-tex” certified fabrics for “superior comfort and breathability”.
This photo is simply captioned: “Balls”. I think it is meant to show the lack of balls bounce!
And that is not all! Apparently, Comfyballs lift the, aherm, balls, away from the inside of the thighs to prevent “unnecessary heating of the balls” which in turn could “assist in fertility and may help to improve sperm count”. Wow!
The company also claim that Comfyballs reduce the need to “manually adjust the position” of male bits and pieces. Goodness…all this in a pair of boxers.
There is more! Comfyballs have BSA, which is short for “Balls Squeeze Avoidance”.
The women’s knickers are less complicated but still have some great features.

I won’t make you (or me!) uncomfortable by posting photos of myself wearing the knickers, but suffice to say they feel very great to wear and they look nice. I like the trunk style and brilliantly the legs do not bunch up at the top of the thighs when you wear them.
The lack of seams is great and they do indeed offer good levels of comfortability.
For the purposes of the review, I wore the pants a little longer that I would normally to see if they ended up horribly sweaty and smelly. They did not! Quite the opposite in fact.
They feel cool to wear and I noticed no sweating at all, even when running. It must be the breathable nature of the fabric.
I can’t say I noticed the pants being insulating. Sorry.
Wouldn’t it be great to see a bigger range of Comfyballs products for women and in some brighter colours? Although, I’m still hoping they are renamed ComfyFannies!
They have become a favourite pair of pants. Enough said, I think.
