The River Clyde
The River Clyde flows through Glasgow and into the Firth of Clyde. It is the eighth-longest river in the UK and the second-longest in Scotland. It was once an important river for shipbuilding and trade in the British Empire.
These days the river provides a mostly picturesque focal point to the city centre and slices it in half, travelling approximately east to west, with two areas either side: Glasgow southside and the north side.
This running route heads east to west along the river. Simply follow the bridges in the order named below. Also see this link to download a gpx of the route.
