New race: Thieves Road Ultra

A new ultra running race, the Thieves Road Ultra launches on Saturday August 10, 2019. Organised by BAM Racing, the 40-mile route follows paths trails and historic drove roads from Balerno, a suburb of Edinburgh, to Peebles, in the Scottish Borders, before heading out to the hills around Glensax.

The route, with some 5000ft of ascent, will be fully waymarked and there will .GPX downloads available from the website.

Some of the paths and terrain you are likely to encounter the Thieves Road Ultra.

All runners will get a technical t-shirt or vest, a race memento and a goody bag.

  • As 2019 is the first year of the race, there will be a smaller number of race places (100) available.
