Aussie Soles are “recovery flip-flops that support and comfort your feet”. The brand claims: “Unlike flat flip-flops, our designs put health and well-being first.” The flip-flops are particularly aimed at walkers and runners, especially people who suffer with foot issues such as plantar-fasciitis.
I have been testing three pairs of Aussie Soles: The Starfish, Indy and Classic. See Aussie Soles.

The flip flops feel robust and durable. They are not the flimsy style I might ordinarily wear on holiday! However, they are still lightweight and thanks to the patterened sole they feel quite grippy underfoot.
The flip flops are comfortable. I have been wearing them about the house and the garden and I like how they offer support to my arch and heel area. I don;t feel like I need to grip my toes on the flip flops to keep them on.
They just feel like a good quality flip flip and a product that I will wear for general use as well as while recovering from a longer day of running or walking, or a race. It’s good to have air on the feet after such events, especially if I’ve suffered blisters or damaged toes.

These are very similar to the Starfish flipflops except they are slip on. I prefer a sandal style without the bit between the toes because I am quite sensitive in that area. The “slides” feel great to wear.
They offer excellent arch support and the nobbly massage pattern are really lovely. These are perfect for post-race or training.
I can also see them being a great sandal for wearing on holiday in warmer climes.
The quality is good and they feel cushioned and supportive.

These look more like a “classic” flip flop but with great added extras. In particular I like the massage nubs (these feel great and help to recuperate tired feet) and the heel recess. his is far more comfortable than a standard “flat” soled flipflop.
They are easy to wear because of the “tarsal bar”. This removes the need to clench toes to keep the flip flops on. I have found that with other flip flops he toe clench is so bad that it hurts my calves.
The rubber straps are comfortable against the skin, too.
I also like the look and colour range of this flip flop, as well as the price. The flip flops feel durable and look like they are high quality.
My only criticism is that the soles could be a bit grippier.
