Snowfeet: Exciting new snowsport hits the slopes

Written by Fiona

Snowfeet Ski-skating is a fun new winter sport that has arrived on the snowy slopes. Combining skis and skates, the creators believe that Snowfeet is a snowsport revolution.

The Snowfeet attach to normal walking boots or snowboard boots and allow you to ski on snow.

You can do pretty much anything in Snowfeet that you can on skis, as well as some great tricks, such as twists and jumps.

Snowfeet can be used for downhill skiing on and off the slopes, in snow parks, on forest trails and even for cross-country skiing.

The beauty of the new gadget is that Snowfeet are lightweight, compact and easily portable. Simply strap them on to your normal boots and ski off.

A great idea

Snowfeet are created and manufactured in hilly countryside in the Czech Republic. The ski-skates were developed by two college friends, Michael Podesva and Zbynek Suba. They launched a kickstarter funding bid and raised six times the targeted amount in one day.

Michael and Zbynek reckon the ski-skating will become an Olympic sport in the future.

One size fits all and Snowfeet are recommended for shoes sizes between 7-12 US/35-46 EU. Snowfeet are made of highly durable plastic material with straps and buckles.

Buy at  Snowfeet store. One pair is $149.90 (around £115). Shipping to the UK takes approx 3 to 5 business days.

Maybe they will send me a pair to try this winter.
